The Dhaka University Journal of Linguistics
The Department of Linguistics proudly assists this university journal published regularly by the Registrar, University of Dhaka. This journal is a vibrant hub of scholars, and it shines brightly through research that combines expertise from all domains of linguistics to make advancements in scholarship and creative endeavor. It is comprised of the study of the structure and development of a particular language and its relationship to other languages, the connection between language and mind, the relation between language and society, language and technology, languages of ethnic communities and many other fields. All papers published here have been refereed and are externally reviewed. The salient features of this journal are:
· The journal consistently includes articles that are scientifically sound and relevant to an international academic or professional audience in this field.
· The abstracts are generally clear and provide an excellent summary of each article’s content.
· In general, the content of the articles is consistent with the scope and aims of the journal. The journal has clear aims and scope/journal policies that are consistent with the journal’s content.

The Department of Linguistics is interested to publish edited volumes that explore theoretical and applied areas of language study and analytical approaches to linguistics across the globe. The department is ready to provide opportunities for scholars (particularly those at the early stages of their career) to share their research with a multi-disciplinary audience interested in home and abroad.
Projects
Linguistics Department is planning to build a recognized research enterprise. A range of Individual and collaborative research projects are right now going on in this department. It also provides support to develop Bangla NLP and language technology by participating in the ongoing academia-industry collaborations initiated by the ICT Ministry of Bangladesh.
